VELLINGE - Höllviken - Falsterbo - Skanör - Västra Ingelstad - Östra Grevie

Every year, this Viking village arranges a new Battle of Foteviken. The participants of the organized training camp gather on the beach where the great battle originally stood on June 4, 1134The published photographs shows nature, landscape and more from Vellinge municipality. The history of charming Skanör stretches as far back as the 12th century and was during the medieval, together with Falsterbo, one of the largest cities in the Nordics.Vellinge offer five different golf courses which all are very popular. Three of them surrounded by grand nature.One of Sweden´s largets international sport events where Swedish and international rider elite compete in jumping and dressage.The oldest settlement in Skanör dates back to the 11th century. The history of charming Skanör stretches as far back as the 12th century and was during the medieval, together with Falsterbo, one of the largest cities in the Nordics.


Largets town in Vellinge municipality is HÖLLVIKEN, dating from the Viking period, which with its strategic location, developed over the last 50 years from a popular seaside resort and mostly summer residents to all-year-round residents. On one side the Baltic Sea with a half-mile long white sandy beach with sand dunes, on the other a shallow beach to towards Öresund, which has become popular amoing surfers.  

Falsterbo Canal - an eldorado

A paradise for all the sailors and the perfect stop for all travelling by boat. Today the 1600 meter long Falsterbo Canal with the openable Höllviksbron (Höllviken bridge) is a popular marina with excellent service and restaurant. There are lots of shops and restaurants in Höllviken and you can quick and easy reach Malmö or Copenhagen by bus no. 300 .

Kämpinge Beach

This is one of Sweden's 8 best beaches in 2017. A long white sandy beach at the Baltic Sea that is shallow making it extra child friendly. For those who want to jump straight into the ocean , there is also a bridge sponsored by the Vellinge residents since 2015. There are two kiosks at the beach.

At one end of the more than kilometer long beach is the Kämpinge Water Ski Club and in the other end you find the Falsterbo channel. Here you will also find the best parking possibilities.

The Sculpture Park / Open Air Museum

Along the road 101 there is a unique sculpture park where Höllviken meets Öresund. Five magnificent sculptures by sculptor Gudman Olovson on the theme of "Life" and one by of the sculptor Peter Mandri . Read more »

Foteviken Viking Village

A favorite among museums in Sweden. Although the official name is Foteviken's Museum, Foteviken Viking VIllage is so much more. Here you will find a unique Viking town, located on historic land, where there was a big battle in 1134 between Danish Vikings. Also one of Scandinavia's largest market places, Hallör, was here. At that time, Scania was Denmark's grain farm, just as Scania is today for Sweden!

Höllviken's Library

A library placed "in the middle of the village" which has increased the interest in books for young and old in Vellinge Municipality through bold actions. In addition, being housed in a property where the architect dared to think out of the box is an additional plus. The house was designed by architect Thomas Sundback, A-Design Architectural Office.
