Open Air Museum / Höllviken Sculpture Park
Five of the six magnificent bronze sculptures in the Open Air Museum in Höllviken were made by the internationally-known Swedish sculptor Gudmar Olovson who worked most of his life in Paris. He was born in Boden in 1936 and died in 2017. He studied at the Art Academy in Stockholm and came to Paris in 1960.
The five of the sculptures of Gudmar Olovsson are, if you face the sea, from left to right Concordia (1974), Les deux Arbres (Two trees, 1990), Prélude (Introduction to life, 2003), Les deux soeurs ( Sisters, 2000) and Femme-oiseau blessée (Female Like a Damaged Bird, 2007).
At the far right is the artist Peter Mandl's sculpture Kassandra (1996) The five sculptures by Gudmar Olovsson are donated by the foundation Allan and Bo Hjelt. |
